Girls getaway and Thanksgiving

Time Our For Women 2016
Our family history these days is in our letters to Audrey so once again I will copy and paste.

From me:
Teesh and I got to go to Time Out for Women and Girls last weekend with all the Pincock girls.  It was for Grandma’s mother’s day present.  I’ve now been to TOFW like 5 or 6 times now and I will admit, I spend a good portion of it just rolling my eyes.  There is a lot of “We don’t even know you and yet we just love you so much!” and “You just cannot possibly know how divine it is to be such a divine daughter of our divine Deity” etc. etc.  The quote of the weekend for me was a very heart felt, “You are us, and we are you” What does that even mean???  BUT—I have to admit that every time I’ve gone, I come away with at least one thing that hit me in a major way and stays with me for a long time.  It would take too long to tell you all about it so I’ll save it for a different time because I want you to be writing to us instead of reading my letter forever.  But it was the best personal story of the power of the atonement that I’ve ever heard.  The atonement is real, and we should all be using it and trying better to understand it every single day!
I'm glad that Alan and his beard made our romantic couple picture

The whole Thanksgiving 2016 Pincock gang
From Dad:
Yesterday I had an emergency I’ve never seen before- called “Bread Dough Poisoning”-  a dog ate about 2/3 of a loaf of bread dough.  It continues rising inside the dog and produces alcohol as a by product so the dog gets bloated and drunk.  And I observed something not mentioned in the books, when it comes out the back end it actually comes out slightly baked (since the inside of a dog is about 102 degrees) and this dog left a little pile on the clinic floor last night that smelled for all the world like baking bread…

From AJ:
So I just got done reading dads email to you. This morning I was at the clinic at like 6am and there was a pancake sitting on the ground. I sat there and stared at it forever wondering why in the heck someone would leave a pancake there. When I touched it I decided that it definitely was not a pancake, the outside just had the same look and texture. I have been confused about it all day and it finally makes sense now. Dad really needs to get better at cleaning up after himself. I am tired but I made it through another midterm week. Now I just get to enjoy thanksgiving break and get ready for finals. Almost through another semester! Nicole says hi. Hows life? Id send pics but I dont have any.

Needless to say-This story has been the cause of a lot of entertainment around here.
Our family is shrinking
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving in Blanding.  We stayed in the lovely city of Greenriver on the way down, then picked up Alan and Jessica in Lasal and brought them down with us.  We also visited Mesa Verde which I haven't seen in years.  It doesn't begin to rival Chaco canyon but I still enjoyed it--something about those desolate ancient homes that I love!
