Sometimes good ideas come after the fact. I got Ian and Mario their shirts for Christmas. (In a hurry, and not making sure the fonts matched obviously). The next day, we were talking about what the rest of us would put on our shirts if we got one. We came up with things really quickly and we all, especially me, were regretting that we didn't all get one for Christmas. Ian especially wouldn't let it go and kept talking about "the greatest, coolest, family picture ever". Mario told me to just order them and lets do it. They came super fast and last night we had a big photo shoot with the timer setting on my camera.

When we thought we FINALLY had a good one, Mario suddenly was running around gathering up legos, candles, banjos etc. and said, "Now we're going to do a 'Where's Waldo' one. The camera setting got all messed up so the picture in fuzzy with strange lighting but it kind of worked and the kids loved having their stuff in there with us. After we were done, we were in the kitchen snacking and I said, "dang, we should have put 'Got Durrants?' on the back of our shirts." Ian YELLED, "What is wrong with us????" He now wants to re-do our shirts all over again. Maybe next year.

| You can see by the 'wet' sign, she barely made the deadline |
This is Audrey's latest painting for AP art. It won 1st and is going to the state competition. She did this one during Christmas break so it was neat to witness the progress and watch her in action. If we can figure out how to work it into the church art competition theme, she may enter it there also.
